Broadway's original Mary Poppins, Genie and Tarzan will perform live at two concerts during August's D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center. Ashley Brown, James Monroe Iglehart and Josh Strickland will present Disney on Broadway's The Originals, a 70-minute show full of music, behind-the-scenes videos and interviews from Disney's theatrical productions.
Iglehart, the Tony Award-winning Genie in Aladdin, will host the event, which will be presented twice at the Expo on August 15th at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Stage 23.
Brown originated the title role in Mary Poppins on Broadway and performed in the show's national tour. She was nominated for Outer Critics, Drama League and Drama Desk awards for her work.
Strickland played the title role in Tarzan during the show's 15-month run on Broadway. He currently appears in Vegas! the Show at the Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort in Las Vegas (hey, my hometown).
